How do I get started at Shukaz?+
Simply contact us by phone, WhatsApp, or visit either branch in Kwekwe or Kadoma. We'll register you, walk you through the programme, and schedule your first lesson at a convenient time.
Do I need a provisional licence first?+
Yes, you need a provisional (learner's) licence to practice on public roads. We offer a 1-week provisional preparation course for just $10 USD to help you obtain it quickly, after which lessons can begin.
How many lessons will I need?+
Most students need between 10 and 20 lessons depending on prior experience. Our instructors will advise you honestly on when you are genuinely test-ready — no pressure to test before you're confident.
What does the free hire offer include?+
When you pay for 15 lessons upfront you receive one free vehicle hire. For Class 4 this is free car hire ($30 value) and for Class 2 free truck hire ($40 value) — typically used on your test day.
Can I choose my preferred instructor?+
Yes! We understand the importance of a good student-instructor relationship. While we assign instructors by availability, we are happy to accommodate preferences where possible. Just let us know at registration.
What days and times do lessons run?+
We operate Monday to Saturday, from early morning through to early evening. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate students who are working or attending school.
Are your vehicles insured and roadworthy?+
Absolutely. All Shukaz vehicles are fully insured, regularly serviced, and roadworthy. Our Class 4 vehicles are dual-control, meaning your instructor can intervene at any time for your safety.
Do you accept mobile money payments?+
Yes, we accept USD cash, EcoCash, and ZIPIT transfers. Please contact us for our payment details when booking your lessons.
